Rogue Ales founder passes on.

Jack Joyce, one of the founders of Rogue Ales, has died, according to reports from his son, Brett, published here.  The company and culture that Jack started in 1988 has had a significant impact on the way beer is now made and sold by craft brewers in the United States and abroad.  From community involvement, to the proliferation of the 220z bomber, and the juggling of various one-off and seasonal offerings, all were not particularly common when they started out, and for that, we at the Beer Diaries will raise a toast to Jack, with, yes, that raised arm, clenched fist salute, cribbed from their hard to ignore packaging acumen.
