Beer-only diet for 6 weeks?
Written by Brady White on March 28, 2014 in The Beer Diaries
A beer aficionado in Toronto has chosen to give up solid food, and replace it with beer, for the traditional Christian period of Lent, which lasts for about 6 weeks leading up to Easter Sunday. Evoking the actions of traditional monks, who used beer as a food substitute during this period of, among other things, self-denial, he will still apparently be getting sufficient calories, to well, not keel over. While consuming nothing but a specially-brewed for you doppelbock for an extended period of time may seem enjoyable at first, I’m sure the luster would dull quickly, but who am I to question a man’s faith, especially his faith in beer?
